Trees are nature’s statement pieces. They mark the boundaries to our property, protect us from winter’s heavy snow and wind, and are central to our landscaping. Trees hold memories, too. Their sturdy limbs clutch the swings that our children delight in, while we picnic in the shade of their canopied branches. How fortunate are we who escaped to the solitude of a tree house to read comic books or to lie on our backs and marvel at the life that teems in the singular world of a gnarled oak. It’s understandable how we come to love a tree, and not surprising that losing a beloved tree makes us mourn a little bit.

At Star Tree Services, we’re happy to know these much-loved trees continue to make memories in backyard fire pits and campfires across the state. After harvesting fallen trees, we cut the wood to size and length, and then package it in manageable bundles for resale. Families and friends come together at the end of the day to relax and enjoy roasted marshmallows and hot dogs on sticks, telling stories and chasing fireflies.
